LT to “Experience Community” with February Events

After hearing author Dr. Rich Luker at the 2010 Chamber Annual Conference, LT Board Chair Floyd Self charged the LT Board with creating an event to highlight the theme of Luker’s book, Building Simple Community . “Experience Community: Leadership Tallahassee Pays it Forward for Scholarships” was created.

The concept is simple:Leadership Tallahassee grads are hosting a series of themed parties, dinners, or gatherings to build community and raise funds for scholarships for the LT program. Themes such as, “Billiards, Brats and Beer”, “Love Me Tenderloin” and “Venison and Vino” underscore the casual, yet fun-loving nature of the series of experiences planned throughout February.

Paul Watts, Chair and his committee have tapped the creativity of 2 dozen + LT folks with the goal not only to fund raise, but also to “fun” raise. All events are by “Invitation Only”, but any LT member may create their own event and invite their own guests.
