Opportunity Tallahassee is an intensive, one-day overview of our community. This program is designed to acquaint participants with the physical, social, economic, and educational structure of Tallahassee. In addition to meeting & networking with some of the area’s key decision-makers, Opportunity Tallahassee participants will be given contacts & resources to enable them to become more effectively involved in community issues.
This program is targeted to corporate executives, managers, and other professionals who may be new to the community & want to know more about the area with a minimum expenditure of time. It is especially valuable for leaders or potential leaders whose professional commitments have precluded participation in the more time-intensive LT program.
Note: All participant/presenter contact information, charter bus transportation, food and beverage will be provided.
Highlights for this year’s day long program include:
- Meeting and networking with 35+ fellow participants who value community engagement for the betterment of Tallahassee
- Hearing from community leaders such as Mayor John Dailey and County Commission Chair Brian Welch among others
- Participating in tours and presentations about the newest Tallahassee “hot spots” for industry advancement, entertainment and recreation
- Diving deeper into the influence of media, public safety organizations, healthcare entities and higher education in creating a solid foundation for local businesses and entrepreneurs through behind the scenes “once in a lifetime” experiences
- Joining in an end of day reception for more one-on-one converstion with fellow participants, day presenters and Leadership Tallahassee members.
