This year we are recognizing the Honorable Marjorie Turnbull as the recipient of the Lifetime Leadership Award.

Leadership Tallahassee 25th Anniversary Annual Meeting

The LT Annual Meeting will be the final membership luncheon of our Silver Anniversary Year. Invited speakers Rep. Loranne Ausley and Rep. Curtis Richardson (LT Class 5) will update us on the most recent legislative session and just as our organization will be charting our course for our "next 25 years" Reps. Ausley and Richardson, who leave the legislature this year, will share their insights into the future of North Florida and their own role as public servants. Building Better Boards

Building Better Boards is a training program designed by Leadership Tallahassee for novice and veteran board members, as well as agency staff/professionals. Building Better Boards is the best opportunity for you and your board members or volunteers to receive valuable training and resource materials. This year’s program is scheduled for May 5, 2008, from 4:30 – 7:30 p.m. at Tallahassee Community College, Economic & Workforce Development and is being held in conjunction with the United Partners for Human Services (UPHS) "9th Annual Conference for Excellence in Nonprofit Management & Leadership". All conference sessions are informative and include time for discussion and interaction. Cost for Building Better Boards is $30 per person. A light dinner is included. LT 25th Anniversary Party

Leadership Tallahassee Class 25 members, past graduates and their guests will get together on Friday night for food, fun, photos and music in celebration of the 25th Anniversary of Leadership Tallahassee. The party starts at 7:00 p.m., dress is very, very casual - denim, khakis, jeans - with a touch of silver to highlight this special 25th anniversary year. Invitations to be mailed soon. LT Class 25 Midyear Retreat

Date: 01/10/2008
Location: 8:00 a.m - 5:00 p.m., FSU Reservation, 3226 Flastacowo Road

LT Class 25 participants are to gather at the FSU Reservation for a day of activites to get to know themselves and one another better. Dress is very casual. Lunch will be "SimSoc Pot Luck" with each of the color groups bringing various dishes and supplies. LT will provide the main entree. More information will be sent out to the class via email.

Hands on Leadership Day - 25 Wishes for 25 Years

Date: 12/08/2007
Location: Parking lot of Fresh Market, Stein Mart

Join fellow LT grads, YLT participants/grads and their families on Saturday to begin granting the "25 Wishes for 25 Years" . Bring children’s books with you for the LT Class 21 Book Drive. Volunteers will meet at for the first shift at 8:30 a.m. and the second shift at 12:00 noon. You can sign up for one of 2 projects: Budd Bell Learning Center to refurbish the playground (light carpentry, general clean up, and assembly of outdoor furniture) OR Goodwood Museum and Gardens to spruce up flower beds for the holidays. Can't give three hours? Then go over to the Southeastern Community Blood Center for the Leadership Tallahassee Blood Drive and donate blood - it takes less than an hour. After the day is done, we will meet at Po'Boys at 4:00 for Social Hour and debrief. More info: bboone@talchamber.com
